  • Applicants must be accepted into IRCC’s Express Entry pool and receive a nomination from Newfoundland and Labrador to boost their Express Entry profile.
  • There is no fee to apply for this category.
  • Eligibility criteria include having a full-time job or job offer in TEER 0 to 3 occupations, meeting specific employment conditions, possessing required qualifications and skills, and demonstrating the intention to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Applicants must also meet language proficiency requirements, score a minimum of 67 points on the NLPNP Point Assessment Grid, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Applicants must not have a criminal record, unresolved custody disputes, or misrepresentation issues to be eligible.
  • Family members such as spouses, common-law partners, and dependent children can be included in the application.
  • Required documents include police certificates and translations if applicable.
  • Applicants are responsible for promptly notifying authorities of any changes in their situation during the application process.
  • Online applications must be submitted within 90 days of initiation to avoid expiration.
NLPNP International Graduate Category

The NLPNP International Graduate Category offers a pathway to permanent residence in Newfoundland and Labrador for international graduates holding a valid post-graduation work permit (PGWP). This category aims to retain skilled talent by providing opportunities for graduates to establish themselves in the province’s workforce and community.

  • Possession of an IRCC Post-Graduation work permit (PGWP) with at least four (4) months validity.
  • Full-time job or job offer in NOC TEER level 0, 1, 2, 3, or TEER 4 (in-demand) occupation, with specified conditions.
  • Meeting qualifications, age requirement (21 to 59 years), and intention to settle permanently.
  • Employment should relate to the field of study. Exceptions for Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic graduates.
  • Mandatory language proficiency tests for TEER 4 (in-demand) occupations. Accepted tests include IELTS, CELPIP, TEF Canada, and TCF Canada.
