Application Process

The application process for the SINP Entrepreneur Stream typically involves the following steps:

  • Expression of Interest (EOI): Interested applicants submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the SINP, indicating their interest in the Entrepreneur Stream and providing details about their business experience, investment plans, and proposed business concept.
  • Invitation to Submit Application: Candidates with the highest scores in the EOI pool may receive an Invitation to Submit Application (ISA) from the SINP. The ISA provides instructions on how to submit a complete application for nomination.
  • Application Submission: Applicants who receive an ISA must submit a complete application to the SINP, including all required documents and supporting evidence. The application will be assessed based on eligibility criteria and program requirements.
  • Business Establishment: Upon approval of the application, applicants are required to establish or purchase a business in Saskatchewan within two years of arriving in the province. The business must align with the proposed business plan submitted with the application.
  • Nomination: If the business is successfully established and meets the program requirements, the SINP will issue a provincial nomination certificate to the applicant, allowing them to apply for permanent residency through the federal Express Entry system or the Provincial Nominee Program stream.
  • Permanent Residency: Once nominated by the SINP, applicants can apply for permanent residency through the appropriate federal immigration program. Successful applicants and their families can then settle in Saskatchewan and contribute to its vibrant communities and growing economy.
